This piece took me about 5 days. Could have finished it faster but didnīt want to rush.
I changed every single element until i was satisfied.
I was not quite sure about the big bright lens flare in the middle, tried about 12 different "styles" and finally found one i could live with :) (Smile)
Im pretty contented with the nebula, lot of layers with marginal help of the "glitterato" plugin for PS.
Wouldnīt be half as good without hameedīs detailed starfield, so a big thx to him ;-) (Wink)
Another credit goes to Rick "Hobbes" Snider for his great "USS Ronin" mesh.
Hope u like it.

This is great... keep it up!

i think the nebula is good in front, but yea maybe have one in front of the planet and one in back. even things out a bit that way. And yea the astroids ar a little too simple but they definatly look like they are 3-D so that's great! but just work on that a little.

Good job!

I agree with the first comment. I would try making a seperate layer on top on those perhaps. Nebuales behind and in front?

the textures of the near planet look a bit too 'sharp' or something, and like lord-zany said, the lighting of the asteroids seems wrong.

But the rest is just great, so much detail everywhere

quite nice.

The asteroids look like they were pasted over the nebula, or something like that. The lighting off them is very wrong. Everone is wrong, except the one nearest the middle. The lighting on the rest is wrong. I'd assume the huge bright light in the middle would cast some glow on them, somehow.

that's the one thing i see wrong with this. i dont see any problems with the nebula being over the planet. that's cool

good work here.

I agree with the nebula positioning too. :-) (Smile) Also the astroids seem a little plain...like...not rocky enough, which makes me think "fake".

Other than that, man, this is awesome. I think the better your piece is sometimes, the more critical people are going to be, just because your standards are so high.

Wicked piece man....:-) (Smile)

looks pretty sweet, but the onlything i might suggest is putting the nebulae behind the planets. it looks weird with them infront of the planets... just a suggetsion.

nice job otherwise though, keep it up.
