Today is my first DA birthday ! Airborne
As an appreciation for all the nice comments and the support i received from this community I present "Erithrea".
I worked very hard on this one, spent many nights brooding over elements i could make better. Confused
F.e. finding an appropriate lens flare for the scene was the hardest part imo (although it doesnt look special).
There are also seperate maps for each planet. The nebula was created using a lot of clouds i rendered using the "Afterburn" plugin for 3ds Max.
Had some thoughts about a text effect too but didn´t want to take the risk and ruin the wall with any crazy idea. So this time no stupid text effect (just plane white).
Hope u´ll like it and I´m looking forward to the next 12 months. Popcorn

i can understand that this has been a lot of work...it looks so real and simply amazing :D (Big Grin) realy beautiful and serene scenery into the universe...especially the sky with starts and stuff looks very real and wonderful. very good work, keep it up :) (Smile)

dunno what to say.. the whole pic just looks cool.. especially the colors ( the cut between the orange and blue looks great)..

This is awesome. Beautiful 'neon' light effects. The glimps of the sun behind the clouds it also cool. Yup, this is one of the best 'universe' wallpapers. +FAV (duh)
